The Ambridge/Avonworth High School team is playing this summer in the Baierl Ice Complex summer hockey league. The season got off to a great start last night.

The team hit the ice for a game Against Moon Tigers last night at 9:30P.M.

The Double AA team as we like to call them (Ambridge/Avonworth) Came away with a 7-1 victory.

Marty Knuth lead the scoring with 2 goals, Dru Ronk, Jacob Best, Noah Vith, Liam Tomczak and Parker Perry each with a goal. Of course those goals would not have happened if it wasn’t for some great assist by Zak Klaas, Nick Weaver, and Jack Pumphrey.

In goal, Matt Lesnick with another stellar performance only letting one puck get behind him in net.

The team hits the ice for their next game, next Sunday against West Allegheny.
