Boys Varsity Basketball, Girls Varsity Basketball · Four Bridgers Sign Letters Of Intent To Continue Basketball Career


It was a proud day for both Ambridge boys and girls basketball programs on Friday as four players signed their Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level.

For the boys, Aaron Hilzendeger will continue his career at Division II Clarion University. The Golden Eagles compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Division. Hilzendeger plans to study Biology.

The girls team had three players sign with Dasha Jackson, Jordan Swartz, and Aniya Walker. Jackson will be staying local and attending La Roche University where she will be studying Biochemistry. The Red Hawks compete at the Division III level in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).

Swartz and Jackson will now have the opportunity to play against each other for the next four years. Swartz will also be competing in the AMCC as a member of the Penn State Behrend Nittany Lions. Swartz will be studying Biology.

Walker will spend her next four years playing Division I basketball at Western Michigan University. The Broncos compete in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Walker will be studying Forensic Psychology.
