Ambridge saw an opportunity for its first win of the season slip away in the second half of Friday’s non-conference loss at Raider Field in Waynesburg. The Bridgers began their first road game of 2019 with a 41-yard touchdown run by Deyvon Gill-Martin on their first play from scrimmage, and he finished what he started by running in the ensuing two-point attempt, but that was all the offense they could muster as they rounded out their non-conference schedule. Gill-Martin finished with 100 yards rushing on 13 carries, while Makai Pringle recorded a team-high five tackles for the Bridgers, who open their WPIAL Class 4A Northwest Conference slate against Blackhawk next Friday at Moe Rubenstein Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
